I first became interested in writing and illustrating children’s books as a student at Parsons School of Design many years ago. Since then, my interests have taken me in different directions: I exhibit my paintings and am an active member of the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition as well as an award winning screenwriter. Recently I’ve returned to the wonderful combination of art, words and whimsy that make up the picture book.

Having recently retired from a 28-year career as an art teacher in the New York City public schools, I’m focused once again on this art form. I’ve written and illustrated two books that meld curious factual information with a sense of playfulness. My mediums are watercolors and oils.
